This is the main dining room where food is served pretty much around the clock, for the most part. Cruise ships have generally helped set the standard for quality and service in the food and beverage industry, especially since you often have the same waiter for the entire trip and can really get to know and trust them. Since the cost of all your meals are included in the cruise fare, dining is one of the highlights of the trip. Of course, there are lots of other restaurants on the ship, so if you don't want to get stuck in a rut you can always move around. I like to try new things and not always eat at the same time, so I will be encouraging the rest of the family to move around a bit. Nevertheless, I know the one thing we can count on: you will never go hungry on a cruise ship, especially since its all free!
After dinner, though, comes the entertainment. After my mom and I get punished in the casino aboard, we'll probably sour on that and be spending some time in this theater area:
Like your meals, all your entertainment is also free on board so a bad run at the slots or blackjack table means you'll still have something to do after dinner. Honestly, though, I can't say I am getting overly excited about their two main musical productions on this cruise ("I Got the Music" and "Boogie Shoes"), so I'll probably be heading out for Movies Under the Stars on the top deck. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"? Check! "Mr. Popper's Penguins"?...um...Well, the nightclub has a comedian, right?
So, I think we have the evenings pretty well covered. As for what we do during the day, be sure to check out my upcoming posts...
